MRI exploration dedicated to the visualization of soft throat structures, usually indicated in disorders of the pharynx, larynx, muscle or connective tissue of the throat, and often for the evaluation of lymphangiomas at this level or salivary glands. Frequently requires contrast injection, for additional analysis of native explorations.

Consider the fact that the exam does not replace the Cervical MRI exploration (the latter being dedicated to the study of the spine) and the cervical angio-MRI examination (for the angiographic exploration of the blood vessels in the neck).
